Scrap Car Prices Lowest in 18 Months
July 2023 witnessed the steepest dip in scrap car prices for the last 18 months, The scrap car valuation for July plummeted to a low of £299. This indicates a notable 11% reduction when juxtaposed with July 2022 figures, amounting to a decrease of £35 in the year-on-year average.
With regards to specific vehicle models, the Ford Focus retained its title as the most frequently scrapped vehicle for the seventh consecutive month in 2023. For this month, the average scrapping price for a Ford Focus stood at £324, exceeding the general average by £25 for scrapped vehicles.
As for the top five scrapped car models, each recorded a decrease in their average value from June 2023. The Ford Fiesta experienced the most drastic dip at 13%, whereas the Vauxhall Corsa observed a comparatively slight decline at 3%.
