Celebrating 40 Years of Success

Pic-up Spares of Swansea was established in 1974 and celebrated 40 years of trading in September 2014. Initially a waste paper recycling company, it transformed into a car recycling company. Consistently achieving and exceeding the target of 95% ELV recycling year on year.

The company has gone from strength to strength since its establishment, it now operates from its two main sites in Swansea, Landore and Winchwen. Serving both public and trade. Currently holding over 60,000 parts and 1,700 cars in stock, it caters for a wide range of vehicles, from small hatchbacks, 4x4s and light commercial vehicle for most makes and models, also operating a salvage sales facility for damage repairable vehicles, for sale from the Landore site and online auction.

In the last 4 years, the business has make substantial investment in their IT systems, creating a software package which enables sales over the shop counter and online.

A new online store has just been launched which enables customers to shop directly with Pic-up spares, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The online store has been developed with the customer in mind, to make shopping with us easy and secure through the recognised Paypal payment facility.

Cars Expo - Doncaster 2014

This week’s CARS-Expo proved a big draw in Doncaster (June 5th and 6th 2014). The event, which centers around end-of-life vehicle recycling, saw a warm welcome from the Deputy Mayor of Doncaster David Nevett who spoke of the need for good environmental practice and highlighted the work of Motorhog which hosts the event this year.
